Job DescriptionJob Summary/Company:
Sparks Group has partnered with an aviation company to find a Cash Applications Specialist. As the Cash applications Specialist, you will be responsible for processing and reconciling payments (applying cash received to corresponding account), searching and reviewing payment details, reviewing bank statements to ensure accuracy. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience working in a high volume, multi-currency environment and experience working with Excel and SAP. Responsibilities:
- Accurately post incoming ACH, Wire, EFT, check, and credit card payments to customer accounts and perform daily bank and cash receipt reconciliation.
- Balance daily cash receipts and ensure the accuracy of general ledger accounts and proper payment posting to customer accounts.
- Monitor, reconcile, and ensure transactions comply with contractual commitments, company policies, laws, and regulations, identifying potential financial risks.
- Utilize signature authority to document financial transactions and research money on account as needed.
- Offer technical and operational guidance to peers and management and effectively prioritize a wide range of complex financial issues.
Qualifications/Background Profile:
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience
- Proficient in MS Office to include Excel (formulas, VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc)
- Experience working in SAP is required with S4HANA specifically preferred
- Experience with high transactional volume and working with cross functional teams.
This position pays $18 - $20/hour.
