Job Title: HR Generalist

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated HR Generalist to join our team and support a wide range of human resource functions. The ideal candidate will have experience in onboarding, employee relations, compliance, and training and development. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and conduct recruitment activities including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, and selecting candidates.
  • Manage the onboarding process for new hires, including orientation and paperwork.
  • Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
  • Mediate and resolve conflicts between employees or between employees and management.
  • Promote a positive work environment and assist in maintaining employee morale.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
  • Update and enforce HR policies and procedures, ensuring they are in alignment with legal requirements.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate professional development programs.
  • Assist with organizing workshops, seminars, and other training activities.
  • Support performance appraisal processes and provide guidance on performance management.
  • Assist with setting performance goals and development plans.
  • Administer employee benefits programs and handle related inquiries.
  • Assist with salary administration, including market research and compensation analysis.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and manage HR databases.
  • Prepare HR reports and metrics for management review.
  • Handle employee leave requests and ensure proper documentation.
  • Support health and safety initiatives and ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations.
  • Assist with the management of workplace accidents and incidents.

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple HR functions.
  • Strong analytical skills for performance management and compensation analysis.
  • Effective problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail for maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel), and other HR-related software.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Initiative in identifying areas for improvement.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in Human Resources, employee relations, and compliance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), or other relevant HR certifications are a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
  • Understanding of HR best practices and policies.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with ADP, UKG, and JIRA is beneficial.
  • Bilingual and experience in multi-state HR operations is advantageous.

Work Environment

The role is based onsite in an office/cubicle setting, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. Availability for later hours is a plus to support divisions on the West Coast. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Longwood, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $39.00/hr.
