Sr. Program Analyst
Description of specific duties in a typical workday for this position:
- The Sr. Program Analyst provides program management and analytical support to Government programs to ensure effective execution, compliance, and operational transparency. The individual coordinates and tracks contract actions and modifications; supports preparation and delivery of program status briefings; and monitors expenditures and spend plans to support fiscal oversight.
- Responsibilities include coordinating and documenting team meetings; maintaining program schedules and action item trackers; supporting spend plan reviews; conducting research related to document, contract, and program requirements; and maintaining program risk registers. The Sr. Program Analyst prepares and delivers weekly program reports, dashboards, and metrics to support leadership awareness and decision-making.
- The role works closely with program managers, acquisition personnel, financial analysts, and technical staff to ensure timely tracking, reporting, and coordination of program activities and supports compliance with contractual, regulatory, and internal program management requirements.
Requirements (Years of experience, Education, Certifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Program Management, Finance, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience supporting DoD or Federal program management or acquisition efforts
- Demonstrated experience with:
- Tracking contract actions and modifications
- Program status reporting and briefings
- Expenditure tracking and spend plan support
- Meeting coordination and documentation
- Risk register maintenance and issue tracking
- Weekly reporting and dashboard development
- Active Secret security clearance is required
Nice to Have (skills that are not required, but nice to have):
- Experience supporting Army or DoD programs
- Familiarity with:
- Program management tools and dashboards
- DoD acquisition and contracting processes
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to prepare executive-level briefings and reports
