Job Description
The Materials Technician plays a crucial role in managing the receipt, shipping, storage, and distribution of raw materials, intermediates, and marketed products while ensuring compliance with cGMP and company SOPs.
Responsibilities
- Receive items shipped to the warehouse daily, including GMP and Non-GMP items according to SOP.
- Monitor warehouse supplies and initiate requests or create purchase requisitions as necessary.
- Distribute materials to applicable departments as needed.
- Maintain the warehouse in an orderly and clean fashion.
- Log daily temperatures for the warehouse and freezer area and replace weekly temperature charts.
- Safely operate forklifts to move palleted items in and out of the warehouse.
- Ship materials as requested using major carriers such as FedEx, UPS, DHL, or US Mail.
- Conduct data entry into materials management system.
- Follow all safety procedures, guidelines, and SOPs, including the use of personal protective clothing and equipment.
- Safely operate a truck to deliver supplies and equipment.
- Deliver plasma pools to manufacturing.
- Stock manufacturing area with materials as needed.
- Resolve receipt discrepancies by collaborating with Procurement.
- Enter data into networked systems, including SAP and Microsoft Office.
- Cycle count inventory as needed and generate cycle count inventory sheets.
Essential Skills
- Packing and warehouse experience.
- Ability to work in a freezer environment.
- Material handling and inventory management.
- Experience in picking and cold storage.
- Proficiency in shipping and receiving using RF scanners.
- Order picking skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required, with education verification.
- Previous warehouse experience in shipping and receiving.
- Three to five years of experience in Materials Management, Supply Chain, and Warehousing.
- Knowledge of GMP, SOP, ERP shipping, and receiving.

Work Environment
Work hours are Monday to Friday, from 5 pm to 1 am, in a warehouse environment. This role requires working in a cold/freezer environment, and protective equipment such as a PPE jacket for the freezer is provided.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Boca Raton, Florida.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.
