Position Summary
As the Lead Bartender at Mika Coral Gables, you will be responsible for crafting an exceptional bar experience that complements our culinary offerings. You’ll lead a talented bar team, ensure flawless execution of cocktails and beverage service, and uphold the highest standards of hospitality. This role requires a dynamic, detail-oriented, and guest-focused individual who thrives in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily bar operations, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and excellence in all aspects of service.

Lead, train, and mentor bar staff in cocktail techniques, wine knowledge, service standards, and guest engagement.

Curate and maintain the bar menu in collaboration with the Beverage Director, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative concepts aligned with the restaurant's identity.

Ensure all beverages are prepared to Mika's quality and presentation standards.

Monitor inventory, order supplies, and manage cost controls to meet budgetary goals.

Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards for the bar area in compliance with health regulations.

Manage POS systems and ensure accuracy in guest billing and tip reporting.

Foster a culture of hospitality, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the bar team.

Act as a point of contact for guest interaction at the bar—resolving concerns, upselling experiences, and creating memorable moments.
Qualifications

3–5 years of bartending experience in a high-volume, upscale or fine-dining environment.

At least 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience in a bar setting.

Extensive knowledge of spirits, wines, craft cocktails, and beverage pairings.

Passion for hospitality and delivering best-in-class guest experiences.

Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Experience with inventory management and bar costing.

Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
