We are seeking detail-oriented and organized Bookkeepers to manage daily accounting tasks with a strong focus on invoice deductions. The ideal candidate will have excellent Excel and spreadsheet skills, solid phone communication abilities, and basic accounting knowledge. Experience with Great Plains (CRM/ERP) is a plus. This role requires daily follow-up, accuracy, and strong organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage daily invoice deductions
- Handle invoice deductions, marketing deductions, and sample & damage deductions
- Determine whether deductions are authorized or unauthorized
- Match authorized deductions with appropriate Green or Yellow Credit Memos
- Contact customers by phone to resolve unauthorized deductions
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to deductions and credits
- Work extensively in Excel and spreadsheets to track and reconcile data
- Communicate professionally with customers and internal teams via phone and email
- Maintain an organized, neat, and tidy work area
- Support general bookkeeping and accounting tasks as needed
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong Excel and spreadsheet skills (most important requirement)
- Basic accounting knowledge and experience
- Excellent phone and communication skills (making and receiving calls daily)
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and stay on top of daily tasks
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Great Plains (CRM/ERP) is a plus
- Previous bookkeeping or accounting-related experience
