Vice President - Commercial Restoration/Construction

Company: A privately owned commercial construction firm that specializes in commercial property repair, remodeling and restoration, roofing, equipment rentals, cabinetry, and insurance consulting. The Company is seeking to add additional management team members to better manage its projects, utilize new technology, streamlined processes, train and expand its existing team and subcontractors, and expand its clientele and market segments.

Office Locations: Miami, Florida (Headquarters: Fort Lauderdale, FL)

Relevant Work Experience: Minimum of 15 years’ experience in commercial property repair, remodeling, and restoration. Experience in hospital remodeling and restoration a plus.

Education Level: College degree required – Construction management preferred

Compensation: $125,000 + (Salary commensurate with knowledge and experience and job duties)

The company is searching for an experienced Vice President - Commercial Restoration/Construction to work directly with the CEO, COO and CFO to oversee, manage, and coordinate all field operations for construction and restoration and coordinate and assist in roofing and equipment rentals. This is a full-time 24/7 business that requires availability as we often perform work on the weekends and after hours. The Vice President will meet with Project Managers, review estimates and client proposals. The Vice President will work diligently with the Project Managers and Field Administrators to make sure jobs get completed as soon as possible with all the proper documentation. Projects range in size from $5,000 to $5,000,000+.

Job Description:

Responsibilities

· Perform daily tasks in scheduling, construction site visits, and evaluation of construction and restoration projects provided by the National Group, including customer follow up, team management, permitting, etc.

· Review specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate and proposals.

· Ensure all project documents are completed.

· Oversee and manage all projects from job intake to estimate to proposal to change order to completion as required - may include estimating/proposals/change orders/procuring materials or subcontractors, etc.

· Work with other departments to understand client needs, complete the project, and confirm proper billing.

· Perform additional assignments with ownership direction.

Skills:

· Complete understanding of the construction industry

· Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office products

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Extensive knowledge of construction operations

· Proven estimating and contracting knowledge

· Excellent management skills

· Exhibits strong leadership qualities

· Ability to always maintain discretion and confidentiality

· Ability to delegate work appropriately

· Excellent time management and organizational skills

· Excellent client focused strategic thinking and sales skills

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, business administration, or related field

· Certification as WRT, Mold Remediator, ICRA, etc. a plus

· Must have a vehicle and valid driver’s license

· Basic accounting or finance knowledge

· Basic knowledge of ERP systems and very comfortable with technology

· Demonstrated problem solving skills by using persistence and ability to overcome obstacles

· Proficiency with MS Office, specifically excel

· Great written and verbal communicator

· Fast-paced personality
