JOB OVERVIEW

The Chief Inspector is responsible for the oversight of the assigned Inspection teams at FTAI Aviation USA locations, MRO, ETC, and EMT, performing preliminary, hidden-damage, in-process, and/or final Inspections.

The Chief Inspector oversees and authorizes the return to service functions on all civil aviation articles in accordance with the current technical data provided in the OEM for continued airworthiness, operator technical data, service bulletins, service letters, airworthiness directives, government and industry standard practices, and other data acceptable and/or approved by the FAA.

Responsibilities:

  • Quantum Configuration & Support Manage daytoday administration of Quantum modules (Shop Control, POs, Repair Orders, Inventory Control, Event Manager), including configuration, workflows, and user permissions 
  • Vendor Management: Coordinate with Component Control and thirdparty consultants on system upgrades, patches, troubleshooting, and SLAs 
  • Reporting & Analytics: Design, develop, and optimize reports and dashboards using SQL, Crystal Reports, Power BI, or Tableau to track KPIs and system performance 
  • Integrations: Implement and maintain integrations between Quantum and ERP (e.g., SAP), procurement, inventory, and financial systems via APIs, EDI, or middleware 
  • Data Management: Perform data imports/exports, integrity checks, cleanses, and masterdata maintenance to ensure accuracy and compliance 
  • Training & Documentation: Create and deliver training materials, user guides, and run support sessions for global endusers 
  • Process Improvement: Analyze system metrics, identify gaps, and recommend enhancements to workflows and controls 
  • Audit & Compliance: Support SOX ITGC audits by providing system documentation, audit trails, and control evidence 
  • CrossFunctional Collaboration: Partner with Maintenance, Supply Chain, Finance, and IT teams to align system capabilities with business requirements 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field
  • 5+ years’ experience supporting MRO or other enterprise ERP systems (ideally Quantum)
  • Proficiency with SQL and reporting tools (Crystal Reports, Power BI, Tableau)
  • Strong vendor management and project coordination skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; strong documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Component Control Quantum Professional (CCQP) certification 
  • 10+ years’ experience supporting MRO or other enterprise ERP systems (ideally Quantum) 
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate 
  • Handson experience integrating Quantum with SAP or Oracle ERP
  • Scripting ability in Python, PowerShell, or .NET for integrations

Preferred Skills & Tools:

  • Quantum Modules: Shop Control, Purchase Orders, Repair Orders, Inventory Control, Event Manager
  • Database & Reporting: Microsoft SQL Server, Crystal Reports, Power BI, Tableau
  • Integration & Middleware: APIs, EDI, Mulesoft
  • Service Management: ServiceNow or equivalent Service Management
  • Version Control: Git or equivalent
  • Data Processes: ETL, data cleansing, masterdata management

Job Demands:

Work is performed in a Shop environment and requires the ability to perform extensive standing, driving, walking, and climbing; to lift up to 50lbs. regularly; to manipulate up to 100lbs. with assistance. Must be able to bend, stoop, climb to reach materials, and work in a noisy environment.
