Job Description
Position Summary:
The Material Handler will perform physical tasks to transport or store materials or merchandise. Duties involve one or more of the following:
<ul>
<li>Manually loading or unloading freight cars, trucks, or other transporting devices</li>
<li>Unpacking, shelving, or placing items in proper storage locations</li>
<li>Transporting goods by material handling equipment, hand truck, cart, or wheelbarrow.</li>
<li>Responsible for the receipt, inspection, inventory, condition code classification, storage, issue, packing and shipment of equipment, material, and supplies</li>
<li>Process material and equipment by utilizing DLA provided SOPs, computer systems, and programs.</li>
<li>Load and unload conveyances utilizing material handling equipment up to 50K forklift.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>US Citizen</li>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent</li>
<li>18 years of age</li>
<li>Valid state driver's license</li>
<li>Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs</li>
<li>Must have the ability to be cleared for a NACI clearance to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC)</li>
