Founded in 1945, Barfield has six facilities located near airports in Miami (MIA), Phoenix (PHX), Louisville (SDF), Atlanta (ATL), Doral 1 (MIA) and Doral 2 (MIA), to satisfy the needs of customers operating commercial or regional aircraft in North, Central and South America. Barfield is part of the Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) network, a major MRO provider. With a workforce of 14,000, AFI KLM E&M offers technical support for airlines, ranging from airframe maintenance to engine overhaul and repair and supply of components.

Position: Repair Order Administrator

Department: Subcontracting Department

Report to: Subcontracting Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follow the latest revision of ISO procedures for task.
  • Monitor Subcontracting incoming loads.
  • Confirm correct material and supporting documentation.
  • Checks for warranty.
  • Create and update repair orders in ERP System.
  • Ensure accurate repair cost in ERP system.
  • Coordinate vendor deliveries and maintain daily contact.
  • Expedite repairs to meet customers deadline.
  • Negotiate pricing and manage repair warranties.
  • Assist in vendor sourcing for customer Request for Quote.
  • Perform cost analysis assessment on vendor quote.
  • Issue quote to customer and approve vendor quotes.
  • Confirm all closing documentation accuracy.
  • Support all internal customers and resolve repair issues.
  • Coordinate with Export controls for shipments.
  • Procurement of Line Replacement Units as per contract requirements for commercial or military customer contracts.
  • Follow up on all orders created, Purchase orders / Repair orders, placed in support of customer requirements.

Required Skills/Competencies/Qualifications:

  • Candidate must have excellent communication skills, detailed oriented, and work well under pressure.
  • Ability to work swiftly and efficiently with minimum entry errors.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Languages: Fluent English (written and oral)
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Some Aviation experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Outlook).
