Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A K-12 educational setting in Big Pine Key, FL, is seeking experienced professionals to fill two part-time positions providing mental health support to students. These contract roles are designed for social workers, mental health therapists, or school psychologists dedicated to enhancing student well-being through collaborative and culturally responsive services.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver mental health support and counseling to middle and high school students, with a focus on collaborating closely with Special Education teachers.
- Provide individual and group interventions aimed at promoting emotional and social development.
- Serve as a culturally sensitive advocate for students, with fluency in either Spanish or Haitian-Creole preferred to meet the diverse needs of the student population.
- Maintain clear documentation of services and regularly communicate with educational staff to support student success.
- Follow guidelines to comply with VOCO requirements.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Social Worker, Mental Health Therapist, or School Psychologist.
- Ability to work 24 hours per week during the school year.
- VOCO eligibility is mandatory.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Haitian-Creole (one position requires Spanish fluency, the other Haitian-Creole).
- Experience working within K-12 settings, preferably with special education partnerships.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide empathetic mental health support to adolescents.
- No testing or evaluation responsibilitiesrole centers on therapeutic support.
Location:
- Big Pine Key, Florida, servicing middle and high school students.
