Job DescriptionDescription:

The Community and Business Administrative and School Success Coordinator supports the implementation of the YMCA's Beacons Program across designated sites with a focus on administrative coordination, community partnership engagement, and program support. This position ensures that college and career readiness, academic enrichment, and leadership development activities are executed effectively while maintaining alignment with YMCA goals and grant expectations

Requirements:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & EXPECTATIONS:

Program Coordination & Oversight

• Lead daily operations at two Beacons Program sites (Sarasota City and Venice).

• Coordinate program schedules, rosters, and logistics to ensure high-quality experiences.

• Provide site-level support for activities in college readiness, leadership development, and SEL.

• Assist with onboarding and training of site staff, volunteers, and partners.


Partnership Development

• Cultivate and manage partnerships with schools, local businesses, nonprofits, and post-secondary institutions.

• Align partner engagement with program goals and student success strategies.

• Coordinate year-round involvement of guest speakers, workshops, and career exploration events.


Administrative Support & Communication

• Manage student registration, attendance, assessments, and data entry.

• Maintain up-to-date records for grant and program evaluation.

• Generate reports to demonstrate partnership impact and student participation.

• Collaborate with YMCA Marketing Team to promote the program through social media, newsletters, and digital content.

• Maintain and update the Beacons Program web presence.


Community Engagement & Representation

• Represent the Beacons Program at community meetings, networking events, and school functions.

• Collaborate with Beacons staff across the association on cross-site planning and best practices.


Evaluation & Compliance

• Support collection and analysis of pre/post surveys, student data, and other metrics.

• Ensure documentation aligns with grant expectations and reporting requirements.

• Assist with the development of program summaries for internal and external audiences.


QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in education, nonprofit, youth programming, or partnership development.

• Strong relationship-building, communication, and organizational skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes.

• Experience with CRM tools and data tracking preferred.

• Passion for youth development and community collaboration.


Preferred:

• Experience working with high school students in educational or mentoring roles.

• Knowledge of the Sarasota and Venice business and education community.
