Sales Representative / Industrial Equipment

A stable, growth-oriented trusted provider of high-end air compressor equipment from Central Florida to South Georgia. We are looking for a motivated and energetic Outside Sales Representative and Business Developer to join our growing team. This position is sharply focused on the development of new sales, new customers, and new markets for our business.

Essential Qualifications and Duties:

  • Identify and target new business opportunities for compressed air equipment in local and regional businesses.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients, contractors, and project managers with current and future air needs.
  • Actively pursue leads through networking, referrals, cold calls, and industry events.
  • Understand customer needs and propose solutions tailored to their compressed air requirements.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets while supporting company growth.
  • Perform on-site visits and assessments of potential projects to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
  • Develop and present project proposals to clients, ensuring clarity and accuracy in the cost breakdowns and timelines.
  • Provide clients with realistic timelines and project expectations, helping them make informed decisions.
  • Collaborate with the project management team to ensure the seamless execution of contracts once projects are awarded.
  • Ensure that all client questions are answered in a timely manner, and work to resolve any issues or concerns during the bidding process.
  • Keep accurate records of client communications, estimates, proposals, and project status in CRM.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
  • Maintain knowledge base with the latest trends, pricing, and technologies in compressed air technology to ensure competitive and accurate proposals.
  • Monitor competitor pricing and services to keep Air Compressor Equipment competitive in the market.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Sales, Business, or related field highly preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in B2B sales within the industrial equipment and complex installation industry. Air compressor experience is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of the industrial equipment market and commercial installations.
  • Verifiable experience in developing business opportunities in the industrial equipment industry.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to interact with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven time management and organizational skills
  • Proven sales ability to hit goals and expectations
