Position Summary: The Accounting Clerk (AC) can expect to handle communications with vendors, clients, and internal staff, assist with inventory, database, and record maintenance, prepare financial reports, issue checks and make deposits, and generally ensure that the office operations are running smoothly. You will process or post a variety of accounting transactions such as invoices, payments and expenses in accordance with department procedures. The AC will be responsible for maintaining accounting files, checking and verifying accounting data; enters data into a computerized system to research questions and generate reports. The AC will perform related general clerical duties.
Technical/Functional Expectations:

Data Analysis – Essential Function: Synthesize data, create logical reports and factual performance through historical or trend analysis.

Quality Service Standards – Essential Function: Create meaningful relationships with all stakeholders within the community to maintain and improve the delivery of quality of services with respect to donorship recognition.

Reports Preparation - Essential Function: Collect, analyze, and summarize data with regards to financial analyses and prepare reports for users, and other stakeholders.

Proficient use of Computer Applications – Essential Function: Must possess strong MS Word, Excel skills, and other computer applications to assist in analysis, data collection, and reporting of data to enhance our quality improvement process.

Volunteerism – Essential Function: Must be able to support the organization’s events and other events where Children in Crisis is the benefiting charity.

Other duties as required: Job performance requires fulfilling other incidental or related duties as assigned, assisting, and training others, and performing duties of higher level from time to time for development purposes.
