We are looking for a meticulous Bookkeeper to join a thriving retail organization near Pompano Beach, Florida. This role offers an exciting opportunity to grow into a Full-Charge Bookkeeper position, allowing for increased responsibility and skill development. Ideal candidates will have experience in retail accounting and familiarity with Microsoft Business Central or similar systems.
Responsibilities:
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate handling of invoices, payments, and customer receipts.
• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations for bank accounts, credit card transactions, and general ledger accounts.
• Prepare and post adjusting journal entries while assisting in the creation of financial management reports.
• Utilize Microsoft Business Central to streamline accounting workflows and improve efficiency.
• Oversee retail-specific financial tasks such as sales reporting, inventory tracking, and vendor relationship coordination.
• Collaborate with team members and senior accountants to expand knowledge and transition into full-charge responsibilities.
• Identify discrepancies in financial data and contribute to process improvements.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities with detailed reconciliations and reporting.
• Maintain accurate records of physical and asset inventory.
• Partner with colleagues to ensure compliance with accounting standards and organizational policies.
• Prior experience in retail accounting is essential.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Business Central or comparable accounting systems is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and performing reconciliations.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and interpret financial data.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all accounting tasks.
