Auto Appraiser
The Experienced Auto Appraiser will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of damaged vehicles, assessing repair costs, and generating accurate and detailed appraisal reports. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in auto repair and estimation, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing top-notch customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
•Conduct detailed inspections of vehicles to assess damage and determine repair costs.
•Prepare comprehensive and accurate appraisal reports using industry-standard software (e.g., CCC One, Mitchell, or Audatex).
•Communicate effectively with insurance adjusters, repair facilities, and vehicle owners to explain appraisal findings.
•Review and validate repair estimates, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company and client standards.
•Negotiate repair costs when necessary and assist in resolving disputes.
•Maintain detailed documentation and provide timely updates throughout the claims process.
•Stay current with industry trends, repair methodologies, and appraisal guidelines.
•Ensure compliance with state laws, insurance regulations, and company policies.
Qualifications:
•High school diploma or equivalent; college degree or technical certification is a plus.
•5+ years of experience as an auto appraiser in the insurance, automotive repair, or related industry.
•Proficiency with appraisal software such as CCC One, Mitchell, or Audatex.
•Strong understanding of automotive repair processes, parts pricing, and labor costs.
•Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
•Exceptional attention to detail and ability to produce accurate reports.
•Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
•Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
•Applicable certifications (e.g., I-CAR, ASE) are highly desirable.
