About the Role: As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the business operations and day-to-day management of (HVAC, plumbing, and electrical service lines within a designated service area. You will supervise all technicians, ensure excellent service, swiftly resolve customer service disputes. The ideal candidate will have technical expertise, leadership abilities, and a strong understanding of the home service industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hire and train Plumbing technicians
  • Inventory control
  • Customer service
  • Run service calls- 30% commission rate with 20% materials
  • Vehicle management
  • Quality control
  • Facilitate all communication from office to field
  • Lead a team of technicians, ensuring that they are prepared and trained to perform their roles effectively.
  • Coordinate daily job assignments, ensuring efficient routing and scheduling of field technicians to optimize productivity and minimize downtime.
  • Ensure all work performed meets or exceeds company standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for escalated customer issues related to field operations.
  • Address customer complaints and ensure issues are resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
  • Manage inventory to ensure trucks are fully stocked and technicians have all tools necessary to complete the day’s job.
  • Manage budget, costs, and resources within the territory to meet company and departmental goals.

Requirements:

  • Ten years' experience as a field service technician in a residential setting.
  • 3-5 years proven leadership experience in the home service industry.
  • Proficiency in using technology and software systems to drive operational efficiencies.
  • Understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Strong understanding of business operations, including budgeting, financial reporting, and resource allocation in service-based environments.
  • Strong strategic planning, operations skills, with a focus in driving efficiency, and achieving service line KPIs.
  • Knowledge of ServiceTitan, a plus.
