Job Title: Accounting Clerk
Location: Palm Beach Gardens, FL (100% Onsite)
Pay Rate: $20–$22/hour
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire
About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Clerk to join our team in Palm Beach Gardens. This is a 100% onsite, contract-to-hire opportunity offering a competitive hourly rate. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in reconciliations and a solid foundation in general accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily and monthly bank and account reconciliations
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes
- Prepare and verify financial reports and statements
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of accounting experience, with a focus on reconciliations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in accounting or related field preferred
