We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Boca Raton, Florida. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance across multiple jurisdictions. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll operations for both U.S. and international employees.


Responsibilities:

• Process bi-weekly payroll for U.S. and Canadian employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local and international regulations.

• Maintain knowledge of federal, state, local, and international payroll laws, and monitor changes in applicable tax rates.

• Assist in audits related to payroll taxes at federal, state, local, and international levels.

• Use Excel tools like pivot tables and VLOOKUPs to analyze payroll data and generate reports.

• Provide backup for payroll processing tasks, including check generation and report printing.

• Ensure payroll operations for over 500 employees are conducted efficiently using UKG or other payroll software.

• Proven experience in full-cycle payroll processing, including multi-state payroll.
• Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll systems.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
• Strong understanding of payroll compliance for federal, state, and international regulations.
• Experience managing payroll for over 500 employees.
• Ability to prepare accurate reports and reconciliations related to payroll and taxes.
• Familiarity with Canadian Workers Compensation reporting and reconciliation processes.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills to manage complex payroll operations.
