Job DescriptionSTAFF SOCIAL WORKER
The Staff Social Worker position is a full-time role, responsible for providing clinical services as well as program development and clinical training and compliance oversight. The main responsibilities of the Staff Social Worker are 3-tiered:
1. ONBOARDING NEW CLINICAL STAFF AND TRAINING, COMPLIANCE AUDITS & THREE-MONTH REVIEWS
The Staff Social Worker will provide new staff orientation for all new clinical staff as they are hired and trained by Memory Training Centers of Florida. Once the initial training has been completed, the Staff Social Worker will provide meet the new clinical staff member at the community where he or she will be providing services to orient them to the community, model treatment sessions, train them MTCF resources, and ensure he or she is prepared to provide high quality services. From there, Staff Social Worker with implement the MTCF compliance program and provide ongoing support, guidance, and reviews, as well as fielding questions and concerns as they arise. A second part of the compliance program entails setting up patient 3-month and annual reviews for patients including conducting a documentation audit and then providing training and feedback to clinician.
2. CLINICAL ROLE
As Staff Social Worker, clinician is responsible for providing a minimum of 20 services per week (7 patients seen 2x/weekly at one community and 4 patients seen 2x/weekly at the same or a different community). Services will be provided in accordance with SLMH policies and procedures as well as comply with all Medicare standards. Services provided include cognitive and memory training, psychotherapy to address mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, or apathy. Also, clinician is responsible for creating behavior plans as needed as well as the development of compensatory strategies in order to maintain patient independence and quality of life. As part of the clinical role, Staff Social Worker will document all services weekly in accordance with SLMH guidelines. Additionally, Staff Social Worker will act as the ‘site manager’ at the communities where providing services which entails communication with the key contacts, community staff relationship building, attendance at care meetings if appropriate, family communication, and administrative meetings.
3. CLINICAL PROGRAMS, TREATMENT CURRICULUMS, AND TEAM-BUILDING
Staff Social Worker will coordinate quarterly staff trainings as a group (online or in person) for all clinical staff. Staff Social Worker will organize forums for clinical staff to communicate and learn, establish communication forums, such as a virtual ‘coffee’ or newsletter, for clinical staff to keep abreast of program developments, share questions, roadblocks, and successes, as well as build a sense of team. Additionally, Staff Social Worker will coordinate curriculums for clinical and community programs, such as staff training, stress-management, or support groups. Staff Social Worker will train all clinical staff in how to work within communities, and trouble-shoot or brainstorm ways in which to build community relationships with the clinicians that work there. This will also include designing group therapy structures, family support groups, or other clinical interventions appropriate within different communities.
LCSW/LMHC or LMFT in the State of Florida required.
