Our client is a small/midsized manufacturer of metal fabrication located in Pompano Beach, FL. They a family owned business and have been in operation over 50 years. They are looking to hire immediately a Plant Controller to oversee all Accounting and Finance for the company. There is one direct report. They are looking for an experience Controller with experience having previously worked in a Manufacturing Environment and is looking for a long term opportunity.

PURPOSE
Serving as the key accounting and financial reporting authority for 2 companies and is responsible for the timeliness, accuracy, and completion of all financial information and overseeing of Accounting Departments and personnel, Accountant also supports tax accounting and payroll entry and management.
DELIVERABLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Establishes and sustains optimal process controls & systems that ensure integrity & security of company’s financial information
· Ensures compliance with governmental laws, GAAP and Audit standards, and internal processes & policies
· Ensures accuracy and timeliness of financial information, reporting, product costing and analysis to support sound business decision-making
· Mitigates company’s risk, including assisting with Insurance Portfolio, legal matters, and Contingency Planning
· Continuously reviews and improves finance compliance, procedures, and processes
· Responsible for timely monthly closing process
· Submits accurate financial reporting
· Performance of company’s financial functions, including A/R, A/P, Payroll, Costing, Inventory Valuation, and financial reporting
· Manages and optimizes use of company Assets (e.g., Cash, A/R, inventory, equipment, investments, etc.)
· Provides financial information and guidance to assist company managers and teams
· Supports FP&A activities
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
· 5+ years in a comparable role within the finance/Accounting field years’
· 5+ experience in a Manufacturing Environment including experience in cost accounting.
· Demonstrated Leadership & Management skills Demonstrated excellent Communication skills
· Good computer proficiency - Experienced with Accounting software, ERP Systems, Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint
· Ability to build positive relationships within the company; communicate complex financial information in an easy-to-understand manner
