Location: Tampa Bay area
Salary/Pay Rate: Base up to $90,000+ plus uncapped commission (flexible depending on experience)

Position Summary:
Our client is a company that delivers customized security and systems integration solutions across a variety of industries. They are seeking a motivated Commercial Business Development Manager to join their team and drive new business growth.

The ideal candidate will bring strong commercial business development experience, a background in integration sales (access control, video surveillance, fire, or burglary systems), and at least 3+ years of direct sales experience. Some technical aptitude is a plus, as this role requires a consultative approach to matching client needs with tailored solutions.

The Commercial Business Development Manager is responsible for generating new business opportunities while maintaining and growing existing accounts. This role is highly field-oriented, requiring significant time spent engaging directly with prospects and clients.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic business plans focused on sales growth and market penetration within assigned territories.

  • Identify, pursue, and establish strong, lasting relationships with new clients through face-to-face meetings, presentations, and networking.

  • Foster consultative, value-based relationships with key decision-makers at all levels.

  • Prepare and present customized proposals and presentations to address client needs and showcase solutions.

  • Partner closely with operations, technical teams, and other departments to ensure client needs are met and exceeded.

  • Collaborate with sales leadership to ensure goals and expectations are met.

  • Consistently achieve or exceed sales targets, demonstrating a proactive, hunter mentality to expand market presence.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

  • 3+ years of direct sales experience, ideally in commercial business development.

  • Integration sales experience in access control, video, fire, or burglar systems.

  • Some technical experience or aptitude is strongly preferred.

  • Proven track record of outside sales success with measurable results.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, especially in managing field activities.

  • High self-motivation, independence, and strong teamwork abilities.

  • Excellent interpersonal and consultative selling skills with a high sense of urgency and drive to succeed.

  • Open to candidates earlier in their sales career who are motivated, coachable, and eager to learn.
