Our client, a leading manufacturing and distribution company in decorative surfaces, is seeking a Business Development Manager to expand their market presence and drive sales growth in Southwest Florida. This is a direct-hire opportunity offering a competitive salary, uncapped commission, and excellent benefits.

About the Role:

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for increasing sales revenue and maintaining strong customer relationships within your assigned geographic territory. You'll be a key player in ensuring customer satisfaction and identifying new opportunities to expand our client's sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve and exceed sales targets for your territory.

  • Develop and nurture strong relationships with both new and existing customers.

  • Gain a deep understanding of customer needs to provide tailored solutions.

  • Implement effective sales strategies and operations.

  • Analyze sales data to identify and leverage the most effective sales methods.

  • Evaluate sales performance against key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Monitor competitive activity within your region to identify market opportunities.

  • Drive the growth and enhance the positioning of the company within your territory.

  • Become a product expert, promoting all products and services in alignment with company strategy.

  • Educate and train customers on product usage and new offerings.

  • Act as a brand ambassador, promoting the company's image to all customers.

  • Participate in promotional and industry events to cultivate customer relationships.

  • Conduct market research to identify opportunities for customer base expansion.

  • Ensure all sales activities are accurately reported in company systems.

  • Collaborate effectively with your assigned territory team (Telemarketing, Sales Service, and warehouse personnel).

  • Embrace and promote the company's values and strategy, and uphold the Code of Ethics.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field.

  • Proven work experience in a similar business development or sales role.

  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is a significant plus.

  • Exceptional communication and public speaking skills.

  • Strong strategic thinking with the ability to devise and implement sales strategies using KPIs.

  • Excellent persuasion and negotiation skills.
