Position Summary:
The Chief of Staff plays a key leadership role, offering strategic guidance to the Office of the CEO and the Federation’s Senior Leadership Team. They manage a range of responsibilities that support the Federation’s engagement with the board. This role involves overseeing communication flow, facilitating key interactions, and advancing high-priority initiatives on the CEO’s behalf. The Chief of Staff also identifies and addresses essential issues that need the attention of the CEO and senior leadership.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Executive Office Support:
- Draft high-level communications on behalf of the CEO and Board Chair for internal and external audiences.
- Develop meeting agendas and provide logistical and administrative support for internal meetings, including All-Staff, Management Team, and Senior Team meetings.
- Manage sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion and professionalism.
Board Governance:
- Manage logistics for Executive Committee, Board of Directors, and committee meetings. This includes scheduling, drafting agendas, compiling board packets, providing technical assistance, and recording minutes.
- Coordinate Board of Directors communications and logistics—including agendas, meeting materials, and presentations in coordination with the Senior Team.
- Capture and analyze feedback from board members at each meeting, integrating that feedback into future meetings.
- Oversee board policies & governance documents.
Strategic Planning:
- In collaboration with the Senior Team, lead, manage, and coordinate cross-departmental initiatives to advance strategic goals, serving as project manager on large efforts, tracking progress and deliverables, and aligning activities across divisions.
- Play a key role in implementing the Federation Strategic Plan and ensuring it is achieved with excellence.

Work Environment:
Position is eligible to work from home occasionally in accordance with Federation policies. When working from home, employee must:
· Follow all Federation policies and procedures,
· Be available to other employees during Federation’s normal business hours,
· Not work from a public place (e.g., coffee shop, library, etc.) and/or join a public, insecure wi-fi network when working with sensitive or confidential information,
· Coordinate with IT department to maintain appropriate computer equipment and connectivity.
Pay Rate:
In addition to benefits, the annual salary for this role begins at $90,000 per year. We benchmark our salary ranges for new hires in relation to the role, level, and role location; however, we consider a multitude of factors, to include relevant experience, skills, and education/training, to determine compensation within the identified range.
