Job Summary: The Director of Recruitment, Engagement & Marketing will lead the development and execution of comprehensive marketing and communication strategies to advance Achieve's mission, enhance brand visibility, and drive engagement with partners, stakeholders, donors, and the broader community. This role involves overseeing all marketing, public relations, and outreach activities, ensuring consistent messaging and a strong organizational presence across various channels. As resources permit, a designated staff position will report directly to the Director of Recruitment, Engagement and Marketing.
Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Leadership:

Develop and implement a strategic marketing and communications plan aligned with the organization’s mission, goals and organizational strategic plan.

Lead and mentor the marketing team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. This includes managing external consultants (presently Schwartz Media) and supervising the FT Philanthropy Manager.

Manage the marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to maximize impact.

Monitor and analyze market trends and adjust strategies accordingly to maintain relevance and effectiveness.

Brand Management:

Oversee the creation and maintenance of the organization’s brand identity, ensuring consistency across all materials such as print, swag and other promotional materials & platforms.

Ensure all communications reflect the organization’s values and resonate with diverse audiences.

Digital Marketing, Content Development & Public Relations:
-
Develop and oversee digital marketing initiatives, including website management, email campaigns, social media engagement, and online advertising.

Supervise the development of compelling content for digital platforms, social media, newsletters, and print materials to effectively communicate the organization’s mission and initiatives.

Manage public relations efforts, including drafting press releases, cultivating relationships with media outlets, and coordinating responses to media inquiries.

Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, utilizing data to inform future strategies.

Community Outreach & Partnership Development:

Oversee & collaborate with staff to implement effective marketing strategies, messaging and collateral materials to maximize student and volunteer recruitment effort & results..

Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships to enhance the organization’s reach and impact.

Coordinate community outreach programs and events to engage existing supporters and attract new stakeholders.

Represent the organization at public events, conferences, and meetings to promote its mission and programs.

Qualifications & Skills:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
-
Minimum of 7 years of experience in marketing and communications, preferably within the nonprofit sector.

Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies and campaigns.
-
Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience supervising staff and volunteers.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages for diverse audiences.

Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including content management systems, email marketing software, and social media management tools.

Ability to analyze data and metrics to assess the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and inform decision-making.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Passion for the organization’s mission and a commitment to advancing its goals through strategic marketing efforts.

Details:

This will be a full-time, salaried position. Compensation commensurate with track record and experience and available resources.

Position will report directly to the Executive Director.

Location: Hybrid, 2 full days in office required. May include some weekend and evening engagements.
