Job DescriptionSalary:
Duties and Role of a Customer Service Inside Sales (someone who can speak Creole or French is a plus) Office base.
Customer Service and Inside Sales Representative handles quotes, following up on leads, managing bookings, addressing customer complaints, and providing general information to clients. Demonstrate excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of the ocean transportation industry, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Customer Service:
- Handle customer inquiries via phone, email, and online chat promptly and professionally.
- Provide accurate information regarding shipping schedules, container availability, and pricing.
- Address and resolve customer complaints efficiently, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Provide general information to customers who email or call, answering their questions and guiding them through our services.
Inside Sales:
- Generate and provide quotes to potential clients, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
- Follow up on sales leads and opportunities to convert them into successful transactions.
- Assist customers with bookings, ensuring all necessary documentation and information is gathered and processed.
- Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients to foster long-term business partnerships.
Account Management:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, quotes, and sales activities in the CRM system.
- Monitor and manage customer accounts to ensure timely payments and renewals.
- Provide regular updates to customers regarding their shipments and address any issues that arise.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with the sales, operations, and logistics teams to ensure seamless service delivery to clients.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams to coordinate customer requirements and resolve any issues.
- Participate in regular team meetings to discuss customer feedback and sales strategies.
Market Research and Reporting:
- Conduct market research to identify potential sales opportunities and trends in the ocean transportation industry.
- Generate reports on customer service metrics, sales performance, and market trends to support decision-making.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in customer service and/or inside sales, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry.
- Strong understanding of containerized ocean transportation services.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle difficult situations.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
