Job Overview:

The Purchasing Manager will be expected to have the working knowledge of doors, windows, glass and commercial hardware. In addition to purchasing and tracking materials

Directly Report To: Operations Manager and Trade Specialists

Job Responsibilities

· Able to accurately input of critical data within operating system and notating items such as lead times and tracking information

· Buying materials on behalf of the Company within budget and time expectations

· Material ordering, including but not limited to: Hollow metal doors, frames, commercial grade door hardware, glass, windows, glass, overhead doors, dock levelers, and many others.

· Responsible for comparing multiple pricing options prior to making purchasing decision to ensure we are purchasing the materials at the best price and fastest lead times

· Responsible for becoming, and being, proficient in using manufacturer software for ordering as required

· Responsible for, from time to time, operation of a forklift, tools, and other aspects of warehouse operations

· Required to from time to time, un-crate material deliveries to verify dimensions and order details.

· Load and unload materials: accepting vendor deliveries, transferring materials to installation crews as required

· Maintain warehouse safety and organization

· Accurately maintain inventory at warehouses and on tech vehicles through utilization of the Company inventory database

· Identify purchasing trends of company and present cost savings options to management for bulk purchasing options

· Manage and maintain stock inventory on a weekly basis

· Complete weekly inventory walks of warehouse to ensure minimum stock on hand is always achieved.

· Able to work within EVO’s operating system as well as customer portals as required.

Candidate Qualifications

· 3-5 years of purchasing experience within the door and hardware category

· Previous experience working with Allegion products is preferred

· Ability to build positive relationships with other employees and vendors, while maintaining high productivity expectations

· Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment

· Positive and professional demeanor

· Required to be able to conduct heavy lifting (50 lbs.)

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Prefer experience with Service Channel or other 3rd party management software
