Job DescriptionPosition: Service Manager

Reports to: General Manager / Operations Manager

Direct Reports: Service Electricians, CSR/Dispatch Coordinator (shared accountability)

Job Responsibilities:

The Electrical Service Manager supervises the day-to-day activities and performance of all Service Electricians. Under direction of the General Manager/Operations Manager, the Electrical Manager ensures that employees are assigned to perform work in keeping with their position as required.

  • Direct and manage the Electrical Service business in operating area and focus on gross margin goals.
  • Generate revenue opportunities for the Electrical Service team.
  • Reviews and updates pricing in service software module.
  • Provide a superior level of service to ensure long term business growth and the ability to seek new ventures.
  • Supervise the installations, repairs, and maintenances of the electrical service department.
  • Provide day to day supervisory support to direct reports and focus on team leadership.
  • Maintain records/files. Prepare and analyze reports and charts concerning worker utilization and job time rates.
  • Review daily service tickets completed by techs to assure for proper diagnosis, resolutions, pricing and opportunities identified.
  • Work closely with CSR/Dispatch Team to plan, schedule, and assign the activities of the Electrical team.
  • Establish work standards, production control, and job priorities.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and enforce the safety culture. Perform regularly schedule safety meetings as required by HR.
  • Assist with determining time and cost estimates for electrical service jobs and provide technical support for field when required.
  • Assure technicians have proper inventory on truck to complete scheduled work.
  • Perform related work as required

Job Qualifications:

  • Journeyman Electrical License, preferred
  • High School Diploma
  • 10+ years of Electrical Field Service experience
  • 3+ years of Supervisory Management Experience
  • Electrical knowledge (Commercial & Residential)
  • Knowledge of company operating procedures and township codes.
  • Mechanical/HVAC/ Plumbing knowledge a plus
  • Ability to properly bid and estimate jobs
