Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to join our team in Miami, Florida. This is a long-term contract position offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of the organization. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in accounting processes and possess the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the full accounting cycle, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
• Manage accounts payable processes with a focus on efficiency and attention to detail.
• Utilize accounting software, such as Restaurant365 or Craftable, to streamline financial operations (experience with these platforms is preferred but not required).
• Prepare and review journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.
• Perform month-end closing procedures, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements to ensure financial accuracy.
• Collaborate with the Controller to provide insights and support for financial decision-making.
• Conduct account reconciliations to maintain the integrity of financial data.
• Participate in audits and assist in preparing documentation as needed.
• Ensure compliance with major organizational policies and industry standards.• Proven experience in month-end close processes and general ledger management.
• Proficiency in preparing journal entries and performing account reconciliations.
• Strong knowledge of bank reconciliation procedures.
• Familiarity with accounting software systems, such as Restaurant365 or Craftable, is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
