Job Description

Job Title: Forklift Operator / Lumber Yard Worker
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00am–4:00pm
Pay: $18–$19 per hour

Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Forklift Operator / Lumber Yard Worker to join our team. This role is responsible for pulling accurate orders, loading and unloading customer vehicles and vendor trucks, and maintaining a safe, organized lumber yard. The ideal candidate works well in a fast-paced environment and can handle outdoor weather conditions year-round.

Responsibilities:

Operate forklift safely to load and unload materials for customers and vendors
Pull and stage lumber and building material orders accurately and efficiently
Assist customers in the yard with locating and loading materials
Unload incoming deliveries and restock inventory in assigned yard locations
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times
Follow all safety procedures, equipment guidelines, and yard protocols
Communicate clearly with team members, customers, and drivers
Perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving materials
Work outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, rain, cooler temperatures)

Requirements:

Previous forklift experience required; certification is a plus
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
Must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
Ability to lift 50–75 lbs as needed
Strong customer service and communication skills
Dependable, punctual, and able to work the full schedule (Mon–Fri 7am–4pm)
