Makers Air, an FAA Part 135 air carrier servicing The Bahamas and South Florida, is seeking motivated and safety-focused commercial pilots to join our Second-in-Command (SIC) Training Program. This structured program provides hands-on exposure to commercial operations with a direct pathway to Captain once required flight hours and company training milestones are met.


What You’ll Do:

  • Assist with preflight preparation, right-seat duties, and passenger service
  • Participate in daily scheduled and charter operations throughout The Bahamas
  • Complete FAA Part 135 ground and flight training
  • Support aircraft loading, weight and balance calculations and perform duties assigned by the Captain.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Airplane Single Engine Land (ASEL) FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate
  • Minimum FAA Second-Class Medical
  • Minimum 200 flight hours
  • Valid U.S. Passport with unrestricted travel to The Bahamas
  • Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor
  • Dynamic work environment based in South Florida with Caribbean routes

Requirements:

Qualifications, Certificates, Licenses & Document Requirements:

  • FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate – Airplane Single Engine Land (ASEL)
  • Current FAA Second-Class Medical Certificate
  • Minimum Total Flight Time: 200
  • Instrument Rating – Must be current and proficient under Part 61/91
  • Valid U.S. Passport – Must be able to travel internationally without restrictions
  • High School Diploma or GED required (Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred)
  • English Proficiency – Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand the English language fluently as required by 14 CFR § 61.83(c)
  • Clean FAA Record – No prior certificate suspensions or revocations
  • Ability to pass DOT/FAA-mandated Drug & Alcohol Screening
  • No significant aviation violations or recent incidents/accidents
