Valens Global is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Strategy, Plans, Exercises, and Policy Support Services expert with a focus on Special Operations. As a vital partner, Valens serves a wide range of private and public sector clients with strategic and operational deliverables ona variety of complex issues. This role is critical in supporting the U.S. Central Command (USCENTCOM) in Tampa, FL, by providing expertise in joint strategic planning and coordination.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide and apply Special Operations expertise for developing plans, orders, and CONOPs, aligning Special Operations support to the USCENTCOM mission and Commanders priorities
  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and synchronizing efforts supporting the full spectrum of special operations in joint, multinational, and interagency contexts
  • Advise the USCENTCOM Commander on the employment and utilization of Special Operations Forces, utilizing cognitive problem-solving skills to overcome complex operational and strategic challenges
  • Analyze and ensure synchronization of special operations planning and execution efforts across DoD elements, interagency, Allied, Coalition, and multinational special operations activities within the USCENTCOM AOR
  • Provide Special Operations expertise to current operations and support other special activities requirements
  • Coordinate FOIAs and MDRs according to legal standards, ensuring plans and orders are properly safeguarded



Minimum Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Graduate of the Special Operations Planning Course (SOPC)
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience working in the Special Operations Community, with at least 3 years of experience at a Joint or Combined Command Headquarters
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proficiency in Special Operations planning and coordination
  • Must possess and maintain a Top Secret (TS)/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in planning, researching, and providing qualitative analysis of Special Operations activities.
  • Proficiency in developing joint, interagency, and multinational activities within identified ways, means, and ends.
