Job Description: We are currently seeking a dedicated CDL Driver to ensure the safe and timely delivery of sod to our installation crews. This role is integral to our operations, contributing to projects ranging from single-family home developments to commercial buildings and shopping centers.
Responsibilities:
- Operate assigned vehicle safely and efficiently, adhering strictly to delivery schedules.
- Program delivery routes to technology devices prior to departure.
- Report unsafe road conditions, obstructions, unusual traffic, or weather conditions promptly.
- Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle and document checks.
- Communicate customer requests back to management or assigned scheduling coordinator.
- Follow route assignments as directed and complete end of day documentation and check out process.
- Ensure vehicle operational compliance with all DOT/OSHA/Company applicable codes, laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies, and procedures.
Requirements:
- Minimum of twenty-one years of age.
- Experience operating a forklift.
- Valid Florida CDL Class A license.
- Ability to pass drug testing.
- Minimum of five years progressive CDL driving experience.
- Meet DOT regulations and guidelines pertaining to the physical qualifications for commercial drivers.
