We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Boca Raton, Florida. This contract position involves managing billing and collections processes to ensure timely invoicing, accurate account maintenance, and effective collection of receivables. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment and demonstrate strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.


Responsibilities:

• Prepare and issue invoices accurately and on time, ensuring alignment with contracts, purchase orders, and service agreements.

• Monitor customer accounts to identify and address payment delays, non-payments, and other discrepancies.

• Post daily cash receipts, investigate discrepancies, and resolve cash application issues.

• Submit and follow up on disputes through customer portals as required.

• Maintain comprehensive records of billing activities, payments, and collection efforts.

• Process credit memos, account adjustments, refunds, and write-offs as needed.

• Reconcile accounts receivable sub-ledgers with the general ledger and customer accounts.

• Generate and distribute aging reports while assisting with month-end close procedures.

• Track and report on accounts receivable metrics, such as Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), to support financial decision-making.

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or collections.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and data analysis.
• Familiarity with accounting systems such as Great Plains or similar platforms.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Experience in high-volume accounts receivable or shared service environments is a plus.
• Knowledge of trade promotion practices and retailer deduction processes, such as those used by major retailers, is advantageous.
