SUMMARY
Responsible for leading all aspects of worship for First Naples Espaol in coordination with the Worship Pastor of First Naples Church.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Works in coordination with the overall goals and objectives of First Naples.
Assists the Worship Pastor and Music Director to work toward excellence in all areas of the ministry.
Basic personal responsibilities:
Maintain a vital and growing personal walk with the Lord through committed Bible study, prayer, and meditation
Lead yourself and your home towards Honesty, Honor, Humility, Hunger, the Holy Spirit, and Health (Emotional, Spiritual, Financially, and Physically)
Maintain proper priorities in your home, including your spouse and children (if married and/or with children)
Faithfully support the ministries of First Naples by maintaining wise stewardship measures over the resources entrusted to you
Maintain active participation in an adult group
Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner to glorify Christ and further the mission and ministry purposes of First Naples (Colossians 3:23-24)
SPECIFIC LIST OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Worship:
Plan and lead all First Naples Espaol worship services in coordination with both the Worship Pastor and the First Naples Espaol Pastor
Plan all music alongside Music Director
Lead the congregation in singing
Help coordinate musicians and voices for each Sunday service
Hold rehearsal weekly along with all worship ministries of First Naples
Develop and raise up new musicians and voices in coordination with the Worship Ministry of First Naples
Work alongside First Naples Espaol Pastor to plan special events
Work with First Naples Worship Pastor by providing musicians and voices for special multilingual worship services (if planned)
Serve periodically at First Naples and other locations as worship leader (around 1-2 times per month if needed)
Ministry
o Visitor Follow-Up & Discipleship Pathways
o Follow up with first-time visitors and regular attendees, helping them take the next steps (such as baptism, membership, classes, or serving opportunities), and maintain updated contact records.
o Service & Class Materials Preparation
o Prepare, print, and organize all materials for Sunday worship services and Wednesday/Sunday Espaol Ministry classes, ensuring teachers and services are fully resourced.
o Teaching & Class Schedule Coordination
o Teach classes as assigned, coordinate teaching schedules with other teachers, and ensure coverage and continuity when teachers are unavailable.
o Event Scheduling & Facility Coordination
o Schedule ministry events and classes, reserve rooms using e-space, and coordinate logistics to avoid conflicts and ensure proper setup.
o Communications & Social Media Management
o Assist in managing Espaol Ministry communications and social media channels to promote events, services, and ministry updates as needed.
o Pastoral Support & Preaching Coverage
o Support pastoral leadership by providing teaching and/or preaching during services or classes when the pastor is unavailable.
EVALUATION AREAS FOR ROLE
Will report directly to First Naples Worship Pastor
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Direct supervisor and coach for all volunteers in the areas of music.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
A bachelors degree minimum and five years of ministry-related experience and training are preferred. Must be able to play at least one instrument, have a strong singing voice, and lead both a worship team and a congregation.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be fluent in spoken and written Spanish and communicate effectively in English. The individual must have excellent interpersonal skills, work with a diverse group of people, communicate clearly and effectively on the telephone, e-mail, and in person, and demonstrate tact and diplomacy. Exceptional interpersonal skills are required to develop and maintain strong working relationships with volunteers, co-workers, the public, church members, and regular attendees. The individual must have the ability to understand written or oral instructions; reading, analyzing, and interpreting complex documents, instruction manuals, and policies and procedures are essential in both English and Spanish.
COMPUTER SKILLS
The individual must have demonstrated skill in using PC systems to complete tasks, including word processing and spreadsheets, and the ability to use the Internet for information retrieval. They must also be able to use Planning Center Online (PCO) and ProPresenter.
REASONING ABILITY
The ability to simultaneously conceptualize and plan multiple tasks and project outcomes using different implementation strategies and apply creative and innovative thinking to problem situations is required. The ability to work effectively and efficiently under stressful conditions to ensure deadlines are met is essential.
