About the Role
The Commercial Insurance Producer is responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of commercial clients through proactive sales, relationship management, and consultative advising. This role combines business development with long-term client service—ideal for a motivated, licensed professional who thrives in a competitive, relationship-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new business through prospecting, networking, referrals, and community engagement.
  • Build and manage a personal book of commercial clients, ensuring retention and satisfaction.
  • Conduct prospect and client meetings to assess risk exposures and recommend coverage solutions.
  • Utilize agency management and quoting systems to prepare proposals and finalize placements.
  • Collaborate with account managers and marketing teams to deliver customized insurance programs.
  • Stay informed on carrier products, underwriting guidelines, and industry trends.
  • Conduct annual client reviews and provide proactive recommendations for coverage adjustments.
  • Meet or exceed annual new business and retention goals.
  • Maintain compliance with state licensing, continuing education, and agency standards.

Qualifications

  • Active state Property & Casualty insurance license required.
  • College degree or equivalent experience in commercial insurance or sales.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in commercial lines insurance or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance coverages, underwriting, and marketing processes.
  • Proven ability to generate new business and manage client relationships independently.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency with agency management systems (e.g., Applied Epic) and quoting platforms.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and goal-oriented.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $55,000–$65,000, plus commission and performance incentives.
