Elite Group Staffing and Headhunting Firm is hiring a Buyer / Procurement Specialist for a confidential client in the manufacturing industry. This position plays a key role in ensuring efficient procurement operations, timely material availability, and strong supplier coordination within a fast-growing organization in the Fort Lauderdale area.
Key Responsibilities
- Procure raw materials, packaging, supplies, and inventory items following established procedures.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams and external vendors regarding purchasing.
- Manage ordering and replenishment of consumables while maintaining inventory thresholds.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with cGMP standards in all purchasing activities.
- Maintain and distribute the Open Order Report to relevant departments.
- Track budgets, maintain accurate purchasing records, and prepare reports for management.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, packaging, warehousing, distribution, sales/marketing, quality/compliance, finance, and accounting teams.
- Perform additional duties assigned by the Purchasing Manager.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Materials Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of buying or planning experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, reporting).
- Excellent communication skills and strong sense of urgency.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and under pressure.
- Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus.
