About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in West Palm Beach. This role is ideal for a motivated professional with strong analytical skills and a solid foundation in accounting principles. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close, and ensuring compliance with company policies and GAAP standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries, reconcile general ledger accounts, and assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely reporting.
- Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions as needed.
- Prepare financial statements and support internal and external audits.
- Analyze variances and provide explanations for management review.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting discrepancies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required).
- 2+ years of accounting experience (public or corporate environment preferred).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (ERP experience a plus).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Pay Details: $65,000.00 to $75,000.00 per year
