Miami Beach Hotel Group – Sales Associate – Events
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales and Events Associate to join our leading hospitality
company located in the heart of Miami Beach. This role is responsible for driving revenue through
proactive sales efforts, managing event planning from inception to execution, and delivering exceptional
guest experiences aligned with the brand's standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and secure new business opportunities, including corporate, leisure, group, and social
segments.
Develop strong product knowledge of each location, as its own brand (its features, amenities,
services and attributes) as well as the company as a whole.
Develop strong working knowledge of hotel systems, programs and F&B outlets.
Respond to events-related inquiries accurately, timely and in a professional manner.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, local businesses, event planners, and
travel agencies.
Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and close sales in line with company revenue goals.
Conduct property/site tours with prospective clients.
Maintain an accurate and up-to-date CRM/database of leads, prospects, and clients.
Plan and execute events ranging from private dinners and weddings to corporate meetings and
social gatherings.
Collaborate with operations, culinary, and other internal teams to ensure event success. Liaise
with F&B Managers, Executive Chef, etc. in coordination of event details.
Create detailed event orders, timelines, and floor plans.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the event lifecycle.
Monitor events on-site to ensure seamless execution and guest satisfaction.
Communicate and cooperate with hotel operations departments to ensure all personnel
property-wide have all information relating to the events and activation of the property.
Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
2–5 years of experience in sales and/or event planning in the hospitality industry.
Computer efficiency: Microsoft Office Programs, Adobe, Canva, etc.
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
Knowledge of the Miami Beach market and strong local business connections preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM/event management software (e.g., Delphi,
Tripleseat, Salesforce).
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities with attention to detail.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to seize, grasp, turn, and hold objects with hands.
Must be able to make fast-paced periodical movements are required to go from one part of the
property to others.
Must be able to move, pull, carry, or lift at least 20 pounds.
Must be able to kneel, bend, crouch occasionally, and climb is required.
Must be able to perform physical activities such as lifting, cleaning and stooping.
Must be able to stand, walk, lift and bend for long periods.
Must be able to bend, stoop, lift, reach, push, twist, walk, crouch and squat.
