Summary

Responsible for ensuring great employee relations from hire to separation and successful employee retention within the company. Act as a liaison between Company and employee, assisting Employee Relations Manager to resolve conflict in the workplace.

Identifies opportunities to support employee success and retention and trends to develop retention strategies and best practices. Analyzes and interprets data related to employee retention and progression. Evaluates performance data, assessing initiatives and interpreting attrition data. Other duties as listed below.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Serves as an employee ambassador for staff to ask questions and provide feedback on Company policies, procedures, and Company culture.
  • In collaboration with Learning & Development, identifies gaps where additional employee and leadership training is needed and assists coordination of training.
  • Monitors trends of new hire performance through various phases of the onboarding experience to minimize first-year turnover.
  • Gathers and analyzes qualitative retention data using various internal methods and provides solutions to reduce turnover.
  • Monitors HR compliance program regarding grievances, incidents and suggestions through resolution.
  • Completes and provides accurate reporting for internal and external needs such as turnover, onboarding interviews, exit interviews, EEO-1, compliance, performance management and etc.
  • Provides guidance, in collaboration with Employee Relations Manager and Sr. Leadership, to supervisors/managers and assistance/follow-up on Company policies, procedures, and documentation including on matters involving discipline, retention, and performance management.
  • In collaboration with Employee Relations Manager and Sr. Leadership, investigate and resolve conflicts in a timely, fair manner consistent with applicable federal, state and local laws
  • Responsible for the full-cycle worker's compensation program and processes.
  • Updates the Job Descriptions and/or Employee Handbook, periodically as needed.
  • Establish trust and confidence by maintaining a high level of credibility, integrity, and skilled communications with managers, HR, and candidates.
  • Improves the employer brand outside the organization within the community.
  • Works with all leaders to make the organization the best place to work.
  • Adheres to company Standards of Behavior and Code of Conduct.
  • Travels to facility locations for meetings, as needed. (25-50%)


Education and/or Experience

  • Associate's degree from four-year college or university in Human Resources or related field; and, 3 years' minimum experience in Employee Relations/HR required.
  • Must have great interpersonal skills and ability to project a friendly image.
  • Must thrive in an ever-changing, high volume work environment.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have a diplomatic demeanor to effectively resolve conflict, motivate, and encourage employee engagement.
  • Ability to manage personal and sensitive information with a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Must be a self-starter, detailed oriented, excellent follow-up and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to gather, organize and analyze data to provide appropriate solutions.
  • Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated.

Must be able to travel, as needed.
