Banquet Setup Attendant
Summary: Responsible for setting up, tearing down and resetting the event spaces in the ballrooms, main house and other venues for various events.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Sets and tears down tables, chairs and other items for functions according to Banquet Event Order.
- Ensures supplies are available according to Banquet Event Order and equipment is set up and functioning properly.
- Moves tables, chairs, staging equipment and other items from storage area to the event space.
- Works with production crews and assist with production risers and equipment.
- Keeps the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
- Provides general cleaning of various venues including, but not limited to, vacuuming and polishing surface floors throughout the Club, dusting, polishing brass and metal, washing windows, and pressure washing of walkways and sidewalks.
- Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the lead facilities attendant.
- Carefully stores furnishings when not in use.
- Maintains furniture by making minor repairs and touching up paint when needed.
- Performs related banquet set-up tasks.
- Adheres to all Club policies and procedures.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally 100 pounds.
