We are seeking a responsible Class B CDL Truck Driver/Smash & HWW Operator with mechanical skills to join our Smash My Trash & Heavyweight Waste team! You will be responsible for safely operating our trucks, which are outfitted with a 3-ton rolling drum on a boom that you operate to SMASH the contents of open-top waste containers (dumpsters), requiring your ability to operate the equipment at each customer's facility. In addition to driving, we highly value candidates who can perform basic mechanical work such as troubleshooting and repairing truck or hydraulic system issues as they arise.

This position is a flex driver. You will fill in where needed on our Fort Lauderdale, Miami, or West Palm Routes. Mechanical knowledge is especially important as you'll play a key role in helping keep our fleet running smoothly across multiple locations.

Responsibilities:

Provide excellent customer service as the face of the company.
Safely operate a 25,000-pound Kenworth T270 truck.
Skillfully control hydraulic equipment to compact waste.
Use a smartphone app to track routes and log activities.
Perform pre- and post-trip truck inspections and document findings.
Report any mechanical issues or incidents to dispatch.
Maintain cleanliness and perform minor maintenance on the truck and equipment.
Troubleshoot and perform basic mechanical repairs on trucks and hydraulic systems as needed.
Demonstrate reliability, accountability, and a strong work ethic.

Qualifications: (Do Not Apply Unless You Meet These Requirements)

Valid Class B CDL license.
Minimum 3 years of CDL driving experience.
Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) required.
Must pass a 5-year background check.
Strong job history demonstrating reliability.
Proficient with smartphones and mobile apps for tracking work activities.
Ability to operate hydraulic machinery.
Hands-on mechanical experience (diesel engines, truck repairs, hydraulics) strongly preferred.
Ability to diagnose and address minor truck and equipment issues on-site is a plus.
