Business Development Representative - IT Sales

Location: Sarasota, FL (Hybrid - Local Travel Required)

Compensation: $60,000 Base Salary + Uncapped Commission (~$25K OTE)

Total On-Target Earnings (OTE): $85,000+

About the Role

Alliance IT is seeking a proactive, relationship-driven Business Development Representative to help drive growth across Sarasota, Manatee, and surrounding areas. You'll be on the front lines of business development: generating leads, building relationships, and turning prospects into long-term IT clients. Ideal candidates are organized self-starters who thrive on outbound prospecting, enjoy building referral networks, and take pride in closing new business that supports local organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Generate and qualify leads through research, networking, and outbound prospecting.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of prospective clients, driving new business opportunities through consistent follow-up and engagement.
  • Communicate with leads and customers to identify and understand their product or service needs; identifies and suggests products and services to meet those needs.
  • Build and maintain a network of referral sources from which to identify new sales leads.
  • Maintain detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems in ConnectWise CRM.
  • Maintain relationships with new clients through ongoing communication and check-ins
  • Conduct site visits to ensure quality and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in B2B sales, account management, or business development
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage time, priorities, and follow-through in a self-directed role
  • Previous experience in technology or managed services sales is a plus
  • Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to travel locally as needed
