Job DescriptionDevelopment Director
Miami, FL - HybridCivic and Community Engagement NonprofitCompensation: $80,000 to $110,000/year + incentive structure + health insurance + professional development allowanceTerrific hybrid Development Director position in South Florida. The position will lead the organization's fundraising efforts, including major gifts, grants, and sponsorships. There will also be an emphasis on implementing effective fundraising strategies and expanding the donor base.Responsibilities:
- Lead, develop, and implement fundraising strategies
- Expand and strengthen the donor base by cultivating relationships with current and prospective donors
- Design and implement development operations systems and procedures
- Manage the donor CRM to make data-driven strategies and track donor communications
- Oversee the creation of grant proposals and donor stewardship activities
- Collaborate with the executive team to ensure fundraising aligns with the organization's mission and goals
- Attend community events, meetings, and other opportunities to represent the organization
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of fundraising, sales, or related experience
- Experience utilizing a donor CRM
- Track record of securing major gifts ($5k+), grants, and sponsorships
- Corporate giving is a plus
- Ability to connect with donors while conveying the organization's mission and work
- Collaborative and able to work with a small team
- Knowledge of local and national funding landscape
- Compassionate to those that have been previously incarcerated, struggle with addiction or have been similarly affected; personal experience with these populations is a big plus
