Responsibilities
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs and other pets.
- Assess the condition of each pet's coat and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques.
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area to ensure a safe environment for pets.
- Communicate with pet owners about their pets' grooming needs and any health concerns observed during the grooming process.
- Handle animals safely and effectively, ensuring their comfort during grooming sessions.
- Provide excellent customer service to pet owners, fostering positive relationships with clients.
Skills
- Familiarity with animal care practices, including knowledge of health indicators in pets.
- Ability to work independently - take breaks as needed but able to get the work done. We want to work with you to make sure you are comfortable and happy! Feel free to use headphones and listen to music as you work.
- Proven experience as a professional pet groomer, with a deep understanding of various grooming techniques, breed-specific cuts, and coat types.
- Cat grooming experience is a big plus
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record, with the ability to drive a grooming vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Passion for working with animals and a demonstrated ability to handle pets of all sizes, temperaments, and breeds.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with pet owners and provide outstanding customer service.
- Ability to drive and park a vehicle with attached trailer a plus.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet appointment schedules.
- Ability to lift large dogs temporarily.
Pay: Full-time: $54,000 - $80,000
Part-time: Varies based on number of hours worked.

- High school or equivalent (Required)
