Job Title: Product Owner (church management systems/ChMS)

Department: Product & Engineering

Location: Tampa, FL (Hybrid 3 days WFO)

Rate- $55/hr. on C2C/1099 (OR) $48/hr on w2.

We are looking for a Product Owner with a strong background in church management systems and hands-on experience managing projects built on .NET and React technologies.

This role will be responsible for defining product vision, prioritizing features, and ensuring successful delivery of solutions that empower churches and faith-based organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Product Vision & Strategy
• Define and communicate the product roadmap aligned with organizational goals and church operational needs.
• Gather insights from church leadership and ministry teams to shape product features.
• Ensure the product delivers value to end-users and meets compliance standards.
• Backlog Management
• Create, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog with clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Balance business priorities with technical feasibility and resource constraints.
• Stakeholder Collaboration
• Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and development teams.
• Translate functional requirements into actionable technical specifications for .NET and React-based applications.
• Technical Understanding
• Possess working knowledge of .NET Core, React.js, REST APIs, and database structures.
• Collaborate with architects and developers to ensure technical integrity and scalability.
• Agile Leadership
• Lead sprint planning, backlog refinement, and review sessions.
• Monitor progress and adjust priorities to meet deadlines and deliverables.
• Quality Assurance
• Validate features through UAT and ensure smooth deployment.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Domain Expertise: Experience with church management systems or similar non-profit platforms.
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with .NET and React frameworks, API integrations, and cloud environments.
• Product Ownership: Proven experience in Agile product development and backlog management.
• Communication: Strong ability to engage stakeholders and articulate product vision.
• Tools: Proficiency in Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in faith-based organizations or community-driven projects.
• Understanding of DevOps pipelines and cloud deployment (Azure/AWS).
• Certifications: CSPO, PSPO, or Agile-related credentials.
