Automotive Payroll Manager (Must have dealership experience)

Job DescriptionAbout the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Automotive Payroll Manager to oversee high-volume payroll operations for a busy dealership environment. This is a critical onsite role based in West Palm Beach, responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for a large employee base, while maintaining compliance with dealership-specific policies and labor regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for a high-volume dealership workforce.
- Supervise and mentor one direct report (Payroll Specialist).
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and dealership-specific policies.
- Collaborate with HR and accounting departments to reconcile payroll data and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain and update payroll systems and records.
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports for management review.
- Handle payroll audits and respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
- Stay current on industry trends, tax regulations, and dealership payroll best practices.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of payroll experience, with at least 2 years in an automotive dealership setting.
- Proven experience managing high-volume payroll operations.
- Strong understanding of dealership payroll structures, including commissions, bonuses, and technician flat-rate pay.
- Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., CDK, ADP, Reynolds & Reynolds, Paylocity).
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Pay Details: $75,000.00 to $95,000.00 per year
