Job Summary Warehouse/Forklift
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Warehouse Forklift Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a forklift to load, unload, move, and store materials within the warehouse. This role requires strong attention to safety, efficiency, and accuracy in handling inventory and shipments. This is for a fast and growing warehouse in the Ft Myers area.
Job Summary
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, pallets, and containers.
- Transport materials to designated storage locations within the warehouse.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and report any maintenance needs.
- Follow safety regulations and company policies to prevent accidents or damage.
- Assist in inventory counts and maintain accurate records of stock movement.
- Work collaboratively with warehouse staff and supervisors to meet operational goals.
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid forklift certification/license required.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution setting.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and safety procedures.
- Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime as needed
Position Type: Full Time/Temp to Perm
Pay: $17.00-$18.00 depending on experience
Schedule: Day Shift-Mon-Fri with some Sat if needed
