We are a small animal practice in South Miami dedicated to the care of dogs and cats. We perform surgery,dentistry, radiology and have an in house lab that allows us to perform stat bloodwork. We have been at the same location for over 30 years and are quite reputable.
Role Description
This is a part time position. We are looking for an experienced tech to join our team. We are willing to train a candidate that has experience with assisting and handling pets. The ideal candidate should have some knowledge in the restraint and handling of animals as well as be versed in administering medication. The tech will perform laboratory testing and assist with in house treatments and surgeries. We are an integrative practice and as such the candidate will have the opportunity to learn certain modalities such as acupuncture and laser rehab/acupuncture.
Qualifications
Must live in Miami
- Medical procedures, administering medications, and pet restraint
- Experience in sample collection, laboratory work, and patient monitoring
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team and support veterinarians
- Veterinary technician certification not mandatory
- Professional dedication to animal care and welfare
Salary
- $15-20/hour starting salary based on experience
