1st Year Rotation (10 Weeks)
Overview
This 10-week, full-time rotation places early-career professionals at the center of Global Crossing Airlines operations within the Operations Control Center (OCC) or Crew Scheduling depts. Participants gain hands-on exposure to real-time operational decision-making, learning how flights, crews, and resources are managed to keep the operation safe, compliant, and running on schedule.
What You Will Be Doing
- Support daily OCC or Crew Scheduling activities, including monitoring flight status, crew coverage, and operational constraints.
- Assist with disruption management by tracking delays, cancellations, aircraft swaps, and crew legality considerations.
- Participate in operational briefings and shift handovers to understand real-time decision-making.
- Analyze operational data and help identify trends impacting on-time performance, crew utilization, and reliability.
- Contribute to process improvement focused on efficiency, communication, and operational resilience.

Qualifications
- Current Purdue University student pursuing a degree in Aviation, Operations or Engineering
- Strong interest in airline operations, scheduling, or real-time decision-making.
- Ability to think critically, stay organized, and perform under time pressure.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability and willingness to work in a 24/7 operational environment, including nights, weekends, and other non-standard hours
