1st Year Rotation (10 Weeks)

Overview
This 10-week, full-time rotation places early-career professionals at the center of Global Crossing Airlines operations within the Operations Control Center (OCC) or Crew Scheduling depts. Participants gain hands-on exposure to real-time operational decision-making, learning how flights, crews, and resources are managed to keep the operation safe, compliant, and running on schedule.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Support daily OCC or Crew Scheduling activities, including monitoring flight status, crew coverage, and operational constraints.
  • Assist with disruption management by tracking delays, cancellations, aircraft swaps, and crew legality considerations.
  • Participate in operational briefings and shift handovers to understand real-time decision-making.
  • Analyze operational data and help identify trends impacting on-time performance, crew utilization, and reliability.
  • Contribute to process improvement focused on efficiency, communication, and operational resilience.

Qualifications

  • Current Purdue University student pursuing a degree in Aviation, Operations or Engineering
  • Strong interest in airline operations, scheduling, or real-time decision-making.
  • Ability to think critically, stay organized, and perform under time pressure.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability and willingness to work in a 24/7 operational environment, including nights, weekends, and other non-standard hours
